I live in South Australia's Riverland on a scrub block, sharing
it with the local wild life. I have always loved animals, and express myself
by painting them.
I have progressed to making pet portraits in pastels which I enjoy doing,
and the pet owners seem to be delighted with!

Think of pastel paintings as painting with the dry pigments
as used in oil paintings.
They are referred to as paintings though,
and that's what I'll be calling them here for simplicity..
